Light load, higher idle white smoke?
We bought a little 67hp Massey 275 a few months back with 2200 hours and I've noticed that under light load, 1500-1700 rpm, it'll let out a bit of white smoke when running the 6 foot bush hog. I didn't give it much thought as it feels like its running on all 4 cylinders and no sign of oil consumption. Today after mowing the pasture, I got back up on it and idled it up from 500 to 1300rpm after opening the gates and it let out a bellow of white smoke. Seemed odd, so of course I tried it again and it let out the same bellow. Smelled like the salamander when it won't start. Usually white smoke is NO BURN fuel, but it never gives any hint of black smoke pre or post white smoke.
It has a new air filter, fresh oil and filter, and seems to be running fine. I haven't dynoed it to see if its up to par, but it has zero issues with the bush hog.
Anything I should be looking at?
