thats being a lil narrow minded dont you think??? the 7.3 has their quirks as well, have you ever driven a 6.0? as for the 6.4 with about 2K and DPF delete and Spartan Diesel tunes that 6.4 will prob do more than the 6.0 and 7.3 ever will. -

I'll own a 6.0 in a heartbeat... just get some studs, EGR delete, and open up the exhaust, and some tunes and you're rocking and rollin! Earlier ones had some injector problems also, but hell, when something breaks, upgrade it!
![]() The 6.4;s are bad ASS when opened up... I just can't see myself doing that to a truck that is still under warranty for a several more years/ couple hundred thousand miles just to have some fun now... - |

Ymmot has one and after studs and a tuner it flat rips and hauls heavy aswell. After a few mods the 6.0 can be pretty reliable and a power house aswell. - |

I had an '05 with all of the above mentioned problems. It started with the coolant coming out of the jug because of the egr and the Edge module, then the oil cooler "blew", then the egr cooler again, then the head gaskets. I got sick and tired of that truck being in the shop so, at 85,000 miles, I traded it for an '06 just like. It's got 60,000 on it now and it hasn't been in the shop yet. I love this truck. -

I would rather have a 7.3 seems like all the guys that have 6.0 go back to 7.3
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- ok guys school me I have had the a 05 ford 6.0 what can you do to make it hold up to a edge exhaust etc so it wont blow coolant and heads and gaskets? mine went threw head gaskets and heads the next year so school me with a positive remarks because i am trying to be open minded - Last edited by rvrcummins; 12-28-2008 at 11:48 PM.. also ditch the edge, for a 6.0 sct is the way to go. forget banks, egde, predator, bully dog, superchips, etc, etc, have it custome tuned by innovative or elite diesel -

Did the EGR and headstuds. No problems since. Now it needs a new turbo and a tranny next
