Hey guys its been over a ear since I replaced my ficm and one fuel injector. Ran awesome for a couple of months. Then a check engine light and code po299. Underboost at turbo and said i needed a new turbo. Didnt have 2500 so i drove it for nearly a year.

I want to deal with it now. The truck drives preety good. It just doesn't have the super quick pop of the line. When I am on the freeway and punch it to pass it might take a second or two before it really kicks in, bit it does kick in.

After reading I understand if it is not used a lot or heavy, problems happen. Ok from now on I will use hard and daily. But what to do about this code. Do I need a turbo or can I clean it.It does not blow heavy smoke even when I mash it. There might be a little black smoke , but only when I mash it. I had a turbo replaced under warranty at 50000. Now the truck has 86000. Thanks for your help guys.
