ICP vs
have an 04' 6.0 with a no start... cranking over its not showing desired high oil pressure, only 150.....ICP volts is showing only .30 unplugged it and it still wouldnt start but i did notice that on the scanner showed the HOpressure jumpped up to 2800 which was desired pressure,... just wondering my problem...any ideas...

wasnt sure if this still sounded like a hpop problem or not... being as it showed pressure with the icp unplugged..

desired is what the computer wants the pressure to be at, actual is what the pump is putting out. The pump has to put out at least 525 psi before the injectors will fire, first step is to pull the IPR and inspect the screen to make sure it's not clogged or broken, also inspect the o-rings on it.

Are you sure it's not showing desired? Does desired sit at a really low number and then jump up? It makes no sense for it to not have desired ICP. No actual ICP would make sense...
You can always just work around the electronics and hook up shop air to it and see if it's leaking anywhere. I would pull the IPR first and inspect it like Bob said though.
