1994 F-250 4x4 6BT Cummins Swap
I started out with a 1994 F-250 that originally had a 351 auto in it, the engine rotted out and then I did some research and found the 6.9/7.3 pre powerstroke swap. I found a 6.9l with a c6 swapped that in to get me through the winter. Now I just picked up a 92 w250 with a 5.9l cummins. here are some pictures of it so far.
Boat anchor
Getrac 5 speed, looks like it had some minor rebuilding
My engine mounts I slotted, they were the 6.9l engine mounts
6bt finally being placed in
Dodge tranny crossmember fits in nice.
Front clip back on
Because I used the stock dodge motor mounts I had to lift the body 2 inches, so I welded in 2in tall circular tubing with a large washer on top, the same as moving the mount itself up and alot stronger than those lift kits you buy.
Just need to custom fit the intercooler, and get the drive shaft welded. will keep posting pictures.

I started with my 4bt project in a 1992 F-350 with a 460, bought engine transmission and transfer case, with all the ford brackets, mounts, and adapter plates for $1200
here are some pictures
dropped right in, transmission is a zf 5 speed off a 351

Im doing a 92 f250 with the 351, how has your ttb held up? Did you build your motor mounts?

Well when I swapped the 6.9 in I had the ttb for a little bit and it was alright but I swapped it out with a ford Dana 60 and put one ton springs in but the 6bt weighs about the same as the 6.9 so I wouldn't be to worried about it just think about swapping a 60 in. As for motor mounts the 5.9 lined up perfectly with the 6.9s mounts I just had to slot them, gas mounts are further back on the crossmember. You would need to either make some to fit or order a pair for a gas. I spent a couple of hours dropping the engine in mocking up the mounts so it does take some time.
