I've been planing to do that and I just bought 12-valve Cummins and manual transmission. I want to put it into my 1/2 ton '02 Silverado and do alot of fabrication but my dad says just to find about the same year truck but in a 3/4 or 1 ton to make things a little easier.

I'd run the half ton. The power to weight ratio would make that truck fun to drive.

Googled chevy to cummins conversions and this thread popped up so I registered to get in on the fun. I too am interested in doing this. I have a 2002 Denali Quadrasteer that I would love to have an 03 or so model cummins dropped in it and was wondering what it would take money and work wise to make it happen.

I'd be happy to do the swap for you. It is a very labor intensive swap. It averages about 100 hours.
