thats heavy but if you get big block springs and do some work it might stick out of the hood...... -

you can alter suspension to deal with the weight
height will be yer problem..........alot of 4bt's are installed at an angle since they are so tall - |

i would put a ZF 6 speed off a ford truck on the car for MPGs. 9 inch rearend for the axles. i just dont know how i will mount it and how much the actual engine weighs. -

interesting...it MAY fit with a big enough cowl hood and I think it'd be good to stick the turbo through the top of the hood, too...(that's the redneck in me). -

okay got deminsions of the 4BT the height of the engine is 36.16 inches(893.1 mm)
the length of it is 30.12 inches (765.1 mm) , and the width is 23.33 inches (592.6mm) I was told in another forum that the 4BT can take 45 PSI of boost before the headbolts start to stretch and it blows the gasket.I wonder if that is right? I was thinking about two turbos so would a compound turbo setup or a twin turbo setup be better for overall street driving then turn them up a little and go drag racing on the weekend. |

I think a V-8 model would be better for fitment. Although not as popular as the Cummins, an alum. V-8 would be lighter and easier to fit in theory. -
