I'm not claiming to be an expert on this it just makes sense to me that depending on where the sump is located you may have the possibility of dry sump either on ascent or decent.

I know what you're saying, at some point you may have oil starvation but I would rather have that problem on descend when little or no load is on the motor. Oil starvation climbing a long hill while loading up the motor can't be good.

Have you ever thought of swapping the location of the alternator and ac compressor?

Yes, that was my very first thought. It didn't work out, don't entirely remember why. I think it had to do with the belts and having to be so far forward with nowhere to attach brackets.

Some updates. With new JCR roof rack, 32" tires, bigger rims, spare tire on roof, AC on high and electric fans on the jeep struggles to maintain 65mph in 4th gear. It does it but its all it has. It will do it in 3rd but 3400rpm is too high. I'm sure it will do it all day as EGTs stay about 1050-1150* but i'm sure mileage is going way down. I'm hoping the new injection pump will help this, not sure if the extra fuel is gonna help or just add more heat and smoke. With the AC off it will mantain 70mph no problem with EGTs 950-1050*. Per Mercedes 1200* continuous is fine, 1400* for less than 5 seconds. It has never gone past 1250*.

I'm just gunna fab some brackets like the ones on the website but make them as close as possible. Do u have any clearance issues with your compressor?

Update on 1995 Cherokee which originally came with VM2.5 TD. 4k Miles on OM617 and doing great. Going to move forward with AC install soon. We got all factory gauges working.....even glow plug light! It has 5-speed manual and will do 80+ on a level highway. It will gradually slow down on a grade, but is pleasant to drive. I originally installed a modified track bar with two "90's" welded in and it snapped at 60 mph (serious death wobble!) replaced with solid steel from IRO. Any new AC bracket developments?

Haven't figured anything out yet on a.c. bracket. Can u post pics of the track bar u have? Do u have any clearance issues?

You can see the threaded rod and the angled bracket that connects to the two 10mm bolts next to the power steering pump and the engine boss where the through bolt for the old bracket used to be. These two points are the only points the entire bracket uses to connect.

This bracket was by far the most challenging thing to design and create out of the entire build, 2 weeks of trial and error.
