Default Any good diesel mechanics in CT?

Any good diesel mechanics in CT? Im trying to find a good place to work on my truck in CT. I dont want to sent it to the stealership because they are morons. Truck is throwing p1689 code and i cant figure it out.

What all have you done, have you checked your fuel pressure, and have you craked you injection lines to see if its pushing any diesel, have you bumped you starter to see if you lift pump runs for the 20seconds because from what I have read and understand is that the wire the goes from the ECM to the VP44 is the same for the Lift pump

I have checked all grounds, changed the fuel relay, and checked all the wires i could see for any damage, other then that im pretty outside my comfort zone, this is my first diesel so im not real familier with it.

If you can go bump your starter dont start it and listen for a humming noise on the driver side of the engine under neath you fuel filter this is you Lift pump see if it is running if not then it could be a bad wire, or a bad lift pump...
