Question How many hours a week do you work?

Fellow bombers,

Just wondering what kind of hours everyone works around here. Where I live it's not uncommon for people to work 80hr weeks. I think that's ludicrous and I refuse to give in to the money-god doctrine that seems to be so common these days. I'm just wondering if everyone else works 60hr weeks or if it's expected or how common it is. I love 40hr work weeks, and my personal belief has always been "I work to live, I do not live to work". Ultimately we all do what we have to do in the end though.

12 hours a day for 28-42 days straight. But then again I only work 4-6 months a year. Any more than 6 months and I get bitchy.

You forgot the "I don't work" option.

Personally my parents help me out with school and I make spending money buying and selling stuff I get for cheap.

Holy CRAP.
Yeah, seasonal work like that isn't so bad, only working half the year makes up for it. But 60-80hrs a week year round would probably do me in, unless I REALLY liked my job. Thing is I don't think I'd be able to find a job that I love as much as the stuff that I do in my free time.

Like Stkdram55 said, not really any OT going around here for me either, I'm just glad to have a job, but I'm fine with <50hr weeks, it's nice having more free time, especially in summer. I currently spend 15hrs a week outside of work training for races, so I kind of need that extra free time.

damn I already voted for less than 35. Yeah I'm a bum but turning a ~$5k profit every 6 months and probably $200 a month goes a long way.

I work between 60 and 70 hours a week. My work is seasonal and I may not work for a couple of months during the winter. I excavate trenches, grade and do some residential flatwork.
