Default Doc Marten Boots??

Has anybody here ever bought this brand for actually working in an industrial setting...my boots at work have about had and im starting to look for some new ones, i would like a Wellington style pull on boot. The only problem with that is they have to be black and steel toe, and finding a pull on boot in black is a bitch...

I have found this pair from Doc Marten but dont know if they will hold up to the sparks, grease and the occasional kick to something that pisses me off.

The Official Dr. Martens USA Store - 2295 WELLINGTON

then there is the redwings
Red Wing Shoes

and the Timberland Pro
Timberland Men's Powerwelt Wellington Steel

Ive worn both Doc and Redwings.. The Docs were nice, but not very good for oilfield appilcations.. Ive worn Redwing Pecos for the last 10 yrs.. they are the boot of choice in the oilfield. and I wear the red insulated boots year round.. the insulation pulls the moisture away from your feet and helps keep them cool in the summer, and then of course in the winter they keep yer feet warmer!

did the docs fall apart or were they just not good for what you were wearing them for, they will be worn in the shop 95% or the time the only time they will be out of the shop is in the winter if i have to dig a truck out of the snow or something like that.

Black pull ons eh? Yikes... But anyways, never had Docs for work but from goin out to bars in them they held up alright, but wouldn't last at work. Dunno if their "industrial" ones are any different. I wear my Carhartt boots out more then the Docs and then to work also. I love them.

These are the ones I have, can't have steel toe since they could eletrocute me

Carhartt - Product - Men’s 9" Work Boot

All the pull ons they have...

Carhartt - Category - Loggers & Pull-ons

yeah the hole black boot is stupid, because they will be covered in grease and oil within a month and you wont be able to tell the color of them anyhow

Check out Tony Llama TLT Workboots, went from redwings to them and I'll never go back. Used to get about 10 months outa redwings, I'm at a year on the TLX's and they still look and feel good.
