Default How to cook a potato on the grill

Yet another failed attempt

it was Like cooked 1/2 way 1/4 inch in

How in the hell do i cook a potato on the grill to where you can mash it with the back of your fork

Poke some holes in it and cook it in the microwave (put it on a plate and cover with plastic wrap)....Cant say how many Ive killed on the grill.

Cut it in half, fill w/ butter. Wrap it in foil. Put it down in the coals.Done in 10 mins.

i don't know about 10 minutes but this is the way we do it when camping....

jam a 16p nail in the middle and cover with foil...throw on hot coals or on the grill....the nail heats up and cooks the inside

Yeah, you're right 10 mins is too fast, I dont know what I was thinking.

i can't remeber the time it takes, haven't done it in a few years...i think its like 45 minutes...maybe a little less depending on your coal bed.

I cut mine in half, spread some butter on them and cover with foil on top rack of my grill.

cooked in about 15-20 min, turn out awesome
