My friend just purchased a 2007.5 dodge 6.7.....then he got a used Edge programmer. He did a dpf/cat delete. The pipe that was sold to him with the Edge had spots for the two 02 sensors on the vehicle. He installed the Edge and the pipe....as well as the two sensors. The first thing that happened was the truck engine light went on and the DTC was a bad 02 sensor.....then a day later the truck told him the exhaust was in need of cleaning...and the truck started acting like it was going into regen mode (i guess it thought it was cleaning the no longer present dpf). He changed the 02 sensor. Nothing changed. I questioned why the 02 sensor would be there at all...as it will only get choked with soot. He spoke to Edge....they were not much help.....

Can anyone speak to this?????

I didnt think edge had anything that would delete the dpf/egr systems? He doesnt need the sensors at all. Edge probably wont say much if he mentioned he deleted his dpf haha. Most all the tuner companies have had run ins with the epa. He needs to find a tuner that has delete tunes in it.

 

My boss had the same problem with the edge with check engine light and limp mode he finally just got a smarty and problem solved but the problem now is the epa has put a stop to the delete program so edge will not give him the code and smarty has stopped selling the programmers with the delete software
