'03-'05 Engine Replacement Trend?
I'm looking at a 2004 Dodge 3500, regular cab, dually, NV5600, new motor @ 155k...I have seen a trend of replaced engines within these years...are they not good years to buy? I don't want to buy a money-pit (I'm trying to save up to mechanically inject my 7.3L). Thoughts? Reasons? Thanks!

the only trend I personally see with replacement motors in my area is because parents buy those trucks for their kids, or they are hand-me-downs, and the kids stack programs and boom, there goes a piston. these trucks can only take so much timing.....
My diesel mechanic friend told me one time he LOVED crazy Larry tunes, only because they kept him in business repairing the motors that broke when running those tunes.....

gotcha. well i went and looked at it and its not worth it anyway...had a jasper long block put in (not complete engine) and was already leakin @ the oilpan (heavy drip), transfer case/tranny connection, and the transmission cooler. the truck was a piece. not paying $15k fer it. guess i will keep looking...
