Default COOLANT?

Just changed my water pump, I put prestone 50/50 mix for all makes and models back in the truck, will that coolant work okay in my cummins. Also do i need to put an anti-cavitation additive in with the coolant, and what brands do you reccomend?

someone once told me to only use the higher quality coolant, not sure what brand but i know its pink in color. they said the coolant for all vehicles can cause problems in the cooling system in diesels but i dont know this for sure.

This was asked on another forum recently...the answer is yes, any quality coolant will work in a Cummins, as they are not prone to liner pitting like other diesel engines. The later 3rd gens use the newer HOAT coolant IIRC, but its more of an extended drain coolant.
