I have an 05 3500 automatic trans. My list of mods include air dog 150 w/ filters, complete trans by B D which include just about everything you can put in one with ts perfomance trans controller,bully dog with crazy larry tune stacked ts performance mp8, and many more coming shortly. My problem is that when drag racing, 1/4 mile and i let off of the throttle it keeps fueling for awhile. Even if i stab the throttle a few times with it in park it does it. I thought it was something to do with rail pressure having to stabilize. Still not sure.

 

The fuel rail is running around 26,000 psi and that fuel has to go somewhere ... not all of it is going to the injectors, and it can't all get routed back into the low pressure fuel system.

In other words, this is normal and expected .... and your correct with your assumption.

Try easing out of the throttle instead of snapping off it as it may help.

You're talking fuel system, so the tranny won't matter .... it happens to both manuals and autos but the autos its more noticeable.

Just gotta remember how much fuel gets run through these things and the light bulb inside your head will turn on ..... even I do it, and sometimes I have to smack myself for not remembering.
