Default Reverse Lights?

Previous owner replaced the tail lights. Did these trucks come with reverse lights?

Yes they did. I just rewired a 01 recently. Took the box off, put a deck on. What do you want to know about that wiring system?

It's possible, but let me tell you what I found on this last truck. There is a sensor in the Auto tranny for reverse lights to come on. It also sends a neutral and park position signal to prevent starting in gear. This truck had a failed sensor. Power went from the fuse, to the switch, but no power out of the switch to the back up lights. Something to look into. Manual transmissions have a similar switch as well.
