Hi, I just bought a 1999 CTD; auto tran. Truck has 190,000 and the tran was rebuilt at 175,000 by Aamco. Also a new torque converter. My plans are just for bolt ons (airdog II being installed as we speak). Very little if any towing here in NC. My guess is I'll be lucky if I put 5K a year on this toy.

Should I be concerned about the tran? Does a Aamco rebuild improve the original????

I dont know anything about aamco trany's, you could all ways buy a co poilt from ats "if their vb alow enough flo" to controll lock up and that will only help it, pluse when you upgrade you can swap it over 600.00 for a new on the fly in cab box. I love mine -
