Default Head studs into water jacket

Went to throw in my head studs and noticed when I pulled a few of my bolts that I had coolant in the holes, is it extremely necessary to use the thread sealant on the bottom of the stud? If so what would be a good sealant to use? Im also wondering when I use my tap to clean out the threads can I run it to far down into the and loose it in where some of the threads go through the jacket? Thanks

Some companies will provide the lube for the head studs like arp does. If the studs you bought came with lube i'd use it.
As far as retapping the threads I don't know, sorry, I can't help you there.
