Default I need opinions on timing***!

Hello im doing a senior project on my truck and the teacher wants to see some number work on here so i was thinking about doing a graph on opinions on timing. like would you rather have 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22? please add state where your from. I have set mine at 16.5 please leave your opinion.

depends on what your doing. average temps outside hp goals. how much you tow. injectables turbo size bla bla bla.

that said mine is at 17ish give or take and im in indiana

20 is pretty fun on a dd street truck but looses points in starting and towing. the lower the timing the earlier the curve happens.

mine is at 16 but some to bump to 17.5 with 4gsk and injectors. NC

from MD current timing is set at 34* in the puller ... best I have found in most street set ups is 22*. but this all depends on your set up, motor, pump, ect

18-26 is my range. 18 spools good, 26 makes better power. I normally split the difference at 22. But right now I'm at 26. 3200-3300rpm is as high as I normally rev.

I set mine at 17.5 Little better on fuel, but starts harder in the cold. Really cant say on how it helped on power. Turbo was going bad so I didn't push it. Put some twins on it now and runs great. Trans doesn't like it

my 97 puller is 26 but goin bump a little more before season starts

I like 16-18 with our cold mountain air and elevations. I've not seen any mention of head gasket in here.
