Default Axels

Is there any difrence in the 2500 and 3500 front axels?? i know the rotors calipers and pads are the same but will the wheel bearing/ hubs and axels shafts work from one to the other?? or are they the same?
Thanks..

damn wrote all this out for the rear axle. LOL

the front axles are the same. D60

the d70 and d80 outers are the same. the 1 ton dodge d80's are hybrids. d80 center section with d70 outers. brakes will be the same, bearings are the same, drums are the same. internals and overall mass are different. mounting hardware is about 1/2 inch different between the 70 and 80. the 80 having bigger axle tubes before it tapers off to the 70 outers.

I was doing research on a single wheel conversion for my 3500 dually and they say the 3500 rear end is 4 inches wider than the 2500. Not 100% sure but that's what's i've heard.

a dually rear end is wider, a SRW d80 is the same size

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

the d80 came in 2500 manual trucks as well as the 3500's
