think im gonna swap to 4.10's
i have 3.54's now but do mostly in town driving and hot rodding on the weekends. anybody with any seat time with 4.10's know what crusing rpms at 70 is? does your truck take off quickly? im in the middle of the intersection before i can break traction, very uncool looking with a big cloud of smoke and all. towing is fair with room for improvement. fuel milage SUCKS the way it is so im not worried about that.
with 3.54's and 33's its right at 2k rpms at 70mph
thanks

My 95 dump has 4.10 in it and I'm reving to the moon at 70 and that's about top speed for me unless I'm going down a big hill!! it takes off very good.. I was towing my bobcat 8k and had a heaping load of stumps on and all i have to do is take my food off the brake she rolls like there is nothing there!(up a gradual hill)! I have the little stock tires on there tho, Some bigger tires will deff. help <--Im sure you already knew that tho... i have 354s in my 96 with stock tires slightly moded and my tires roast instantly.. but like i said skinny stock meats..

How much for the 3.54s ? if you cover shipping i'll take yours and cover the shipping off them, my rear is a D80 SRW with 4.10s, do you have a D80 aswell or is yours the D70?
I really want a 3.54, i have 35"s and i'm cruising 90kmh (55) and rpms are 1700rpm for 55mph, about 1850 for 60mph or something if i recall correctly, i'm running 3.91 in a D60 now, and it's about the same...
Milage was good no matter what you were towing as long as you didn't go quick...

I have 4.10 and wish I didn't since colorado is a lot of suburbs there is a lot of hwy driving. I have it tuned to hit about 95. It gets right up with any new truck that is stock. 70 isn't bad, I don't have a tach but I'd say I'm at 2000 rpm my but my tires are 30 in od. I really would like 3:73 gears but if you want to send me those 3.54s I'll pay shiping

i would hate to see what shipping to iceland would be for a set of axles!!! LOL i think im gonna keep mine around for awhile after the swap just to see if i like them or not. ive heard alot of guys talking poorly aboutt he 4.10 compared to the 3.54's or at least more tend to like the higher gear better. i just want a little more off the line. what is your guys fuel economy like with the 4.10's i get 15.5mpg have since the truck was BONE stock. im the damn black sheep of the fuel milage world.
and mine are 70/60 with 64xxx miles if i do decide to part with them

this truck has super low miles and it is more or less a play thing. i do use it as a truck. right now it is loaded to the gills with firewood, i might put 5k miles on it a year and pull a 8k trailer once or twice a year. the little pick geo tracker gets all the miles!
