There is a 4th now. A 1999.5 2 door TDI.

The 2004.5 and the 2003 have AFE stage 1's, skid plates, mufflereconomies, short shifters, fancy wheels and tires, intercooler mod's and some other "secret stuff" on board.

2000 jetta, stock for now, maybe injectors next year(to help when running the a/c). It's now my daily driver with 170K. Got between 50-52mpg this summer after having the intake cleaned out. GET YOUR INTAKE CLEANED OUT. I highly recommend it, mine was clogged when I bought it and went from about 46-47mpg to 50-52mpg.

Buckshotmckee 12-31-2007 08:46 AM

Howdy! :deal:

Your absolutely correct about the carbon build-up in the intake!

Yes there are buuut there around 400 a piece..:madd::madd: I have a Van Aaken smartbox and im really happy with it. I prefer the boxes because if you have to take it in for service you just disconnect and your done, no signs of modding.. Not to mention my mpg went up from 34 to 39 all city driving, and thats with my foot in it al the time.:ok1:

06Cummins 05-04-2009 07:53 PM

Silverbullet
How is the performance with the Van Aaken?

Awesome!!:U: First is useless so i have to roll into the throttle. She puffs a little black one in a while but not much. Gas mileage when up to, when i got it my first fill was 34mpg my next fill after the vasb was 39mpg. My drivings all city. Cant complain and i got it on sale to.:yeah:

06Cummins 05-05-2009 01:29 PM

Sounds good, was that with the boost fooler too or VASB on its own?

That was before the boost fooler, its actually called the digi TPC from dieseltuning.com. But yeah it adds around another 10% power bump. I have mine set at setting 4, im not sure if i can go any higher without a boost gauge. mileage seems to be the same. I wish my gas gauge was accurate, when i hit E i have like 3 more gallons...

Valair1 05-21-2009 01:47 PM

06 TDI Beetle, Gator tune, custom injectors, next up a new intercooler and bigger turbo. smokes pretty good when you nail it,

Just checking in - Stock 2006 Jetta TDI 63 Kmiles 45-53 mpg.
Runs great, safety proven got T-boned on pass side, bags deployed, center pillar bent.
Not perfect but body shop did a great job.

Edge33 06-25-2009 09:04 PM

Hey fellow kraut can drivers :c:, I have on 01 Jetta TDI, had it a year and love it.....:U:

G60ING 08-07-2009 06:55 AM

I finished building another TDI. Its a 1998 Golf with a TDI engine swap (golfs didn't come with TDIs)

http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b9...D720/ry%3D480/

It was orginally a 2L 4 cylinder then it was swapped to a VR6 and now its a TDI
