Dual steering stabalizer Advice

I've been wondering how a dual steering stabalizer would work out on my truck. I've never really see them ran on a cummins usually I just see them on the front of really jacked up fords.

Thinking about this one maybe
98-02 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Dual Steering Stabilizer Kit with Bilstein Cylinders - Top Gun Customz

Just wondering if they would Interfere with a a DDS Steering box stabalizer or anything like that. Let me hear about your experience!

Unless your front end is beating you up and you KNOW it's not you tires and/or wheels, save your money. I'm rolling 14.5 wide Toyos with NO steering stabilizer. Not every truck needs them.

My 2001 Duramax comes with a factory steering damper (just one) and i've yet to notice when it works... i get beat the crap up all the time which i'm running bad tires also which is the reason, but i'm curious if i put a bigger one on or a second one if it will help maybe... I'll post something on it if i come up with a solution on the duramax... Good luck...

I've been runnin this Skyjacker one on mine for a few years now. Can't tell ya if it helps anything or not but it's there and a lot cheaper then the top guns version. http://www.skyjacker.com/image/catal...tabilizers.pdf

i have those only in a different brand. i really dont think they make a big difference besides looks. my dss made the biggest difference in steering for me.

Yeah, I think I might need a DDS..

Don't think I need the Dual Steering Stabalizer. She drives great with the 35's just got em on about 2 hours ago.

Completely changed the look of my truck!:yeah:

Kinda new at this... what is DDS?

jrad989 04-15-2010 11:58 PM

DSS. Darins Steering Stabalizer. the original steering stabalizer. it mounts right to the frame under the steering pump. it stabilizes your steering from jiggling around. its a good investment if you have death wobble.

awesome... thanks man, i'll look into them... I've had a gasser 1500 silverado and this 2500HD duramax and both have wore tires bad and wobbled bad... I'm wondering if maybe "I" might be the problem... :humm:, but i'll look into them... Thanks
