procomp

anyone running procomp tires? I just bought a set of the AT's cheap. I was wondering what kind of luck people are having out of them. I changet from the BFG AT's and the pro-comps so far seem to be quieter. but I only have about 1000miles on them.

I've only been around ProComp M/Ts so this may not help you.

From my experience, they do great as long as you are anal about rotating. They won't last as long as a BFG. HTH

ok, I am usually pretty good about rotating so we will see.

my next set will be the Xtreme M/T's

CreeperSleeper 01-14-2010 01:22 PM

That is what I'm running, DieselMinded, in a 289/75/17. Only complaint so far is they are load range D, not E like I would like.

I have the DC-1's and FC-II's right now 16x10 and 305x75x16 and they dont rub at all , 12.50's will rub the control arms on stock rims because they have little backspacing , all they would need is an inch more backspacing to clear the control arms with 12.50's ,

im going with 35 12.50's on 17x10's with back spacing between stock and the dc-1s

I run the ProComp Xtreme AT's in 35x12.50x17. I will never buy a procomp tire again. I had to have one patched at about 10,000 miles, because one of the lugs was seperating from the carcas of the tire. I have about 21k miles on them, and MIGHT get another 5,000 out of them. I talked to the local 4 wheel parts about warrantying them. They told me they wouldn't because I drive up and down mountain roads every day, and that's not "normal wear and tear". I am not impressed with the service I recieved from 4wp, and the construction of the tires left a little to be desired when I saw that lug seperate from the tire carcass.

In my experience with the A/T's was good in mileage. Got 50k out of em. On the other hand they were horrible for me in the snow. All in all they were an ok tire and if I got a helluva deal I'd run em again but just as summer tires.

I've got Pro Comp A/T's on mine and I like them. Theyve been on since I bought the truck and Ill probably get another set when there finished. 2 of them still have alot of life left but two were on the back a lil too long if you know what I mean

I have owned a lot of Pro-Comp tires, Both M/T and A/T. Great tires. Lots of miles. Ya know they are the same as Cooper tire. Right?:humm:

And Dieseljunkie I hear ya on 4WP Their service is horrible! I stopped dealing with them years ago. Transamerica is the co.
