Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip Tires?

Hey

Anyone have any experience with the Parnelli Jones Dirt Grip tires? They seem like a very good tire and sound like they get great reviews. Just wondering if any CTD owners out there have run them and whatcha think of them, especially in dirt/mud/snow/rain

Thanks

ive heard quite a few guys who arnt huge fans of them but that is for a rig that is off the road more than on it.

yeah, im talking to some GM owners on another site and they all say they're a pain to balance and are out of round and dont last for crap tread wear wise. Anyone here notice any issues of that nature or are they just hassling me about not putting em on a chevy/GMC

You need to know what you're comparing them too. As far as 38" tires go, they are in the top few on road and do very well offroad. You can expect more life from them than from any swamper. They also carry a load better than most other 38s. (Most tires that big are only load range C) 37s and down, gives you better options for offroad tires that'll carry around a cummins. As for the GM guys not liking them...it depends on wht year truck they're running. All the newer ones are hub centric, not lug centric like older trucks. So if they're running aftermarket wheels, that may be more of their problem than out of balance tires.

just an update

still leaning towards these in a 37x12.50 E range tire.

Plan to have lift bought sooner than later.

These were all on the NBS(new body style) 1999 and up trucks

Always keep in mind, the more aggressive the tread pattern the quicker they will wear down, that's the trade off no matter what tire your lookin at.

Also keep in mind that the bigger diameter you go the more HP and torque your gonna lose. It raises your gear ratio more to the high end.

yes i know, however im not completely worried about that i will be bombing my truck big time in the coming months
