6.7l 07.5 dually, stock with 120000kms, but with a code p2579 vs.
5.9l 06 2500, stock with 65000kms. 5.9l wins all the time. Didn't matter what I tryed boost lauch, 4x4, tow haul on or off, whaterver couldn't keep up. |
How do you know its stock? And your dually weighs a good bit more.
|

i hate to say this but, power to weight ratio, you may have 25 extra horsepower and 40 ftlbs, but that doesent mean you will win, his is a good 500-1000 pounds lighter and also its not just the truck its the driver aswell,a truck with 10k mods could be beat by a truck with only 5k mods aslong as the driver knew what he was doing.
best bet is to swap trucks and run again, if he beats you in your own truck you need more practice, but if you beat him then its your truck. |

How much do both trucks weigh?
|
when i was looking to buy a truck. i drove a new 07.5 truck. my 08 that i bought runs better. i think they are a difference in computer but smarty will bring that out.
|
Weight is huge also gear ratios and different trans gearing as well. Lots variables to try to figure out.

I'll invite you down next time and you can show me how to drive. We swaped back and forth the result was the same. Just have to live with the results I guess. I posted this to see if anyone else has had the same experience or if this is normal. My truck is usually hooked on too a 35' 15000gvwr living quarter horse trailer.
your truck should have kept up, but what about your rear gear ratio and his? are they the same? |
