I've heard nothing but good about these guns

Honestly I think it's about the best gun I've ever owned and should be picking up another one very soon. I'm thinking about buying the .22 mag to match it and letting the wife have the LR. I've put over 1000 rounds through it so far and I haven't got a bad word to say about it

IMHO, Marlin makes the best lever actions out there. I have a lever action 30-30, and wont trade it for anything. I would love to have that .22 Mag. I need new exhaust first :( Edit, sorry, got it confused there. I have the AR-7 from Henry. Awesome gun. For some reason I saw lever action and thought I read Marlin :P I would still love a lever action 22 Mag.

I've got a Winchester 94/22...couple Ruger 10/22's and a Henry 22 lever action....the Henry is not quite as good as the 94/22, but it is a excellent rifle, well worth getting. Any 22 long rifle will shoot 22 shorts & CB caps also....

Here it is last weekend when we were out shooting...

I have a MARLIN 783 22 mag. It's accurate, but the 22 magnum ammo cost about the same as 223 & the 223 is a much better round, buy a 223 rifle (If your wondering why i bought a 22 mag, cause i got the rifle with 3,000 rounds of CCI 30 gr. Hollow-Point & 500 rounds of CCI snake shot for $305

So where you buying .223 ammo for $10.00 for 50 rounds, Martin? :w2: And really, it depends on what you consider "better". The .22 magnum has less recoil, MUCH less noise and, in general, won't carry into the next county like the .223. If your targets are under 150 yards, I feel the .22 Magnum is the "better" choise.
