Hey, might have to go pull up the video of tex grubner shooting himself in the leg with a kimber 1911....:tu: :tu: After all it was a 1911 he shot himself with...so that just goes to show how dangerous the 1911 really is...:humm: mexican carry is called mexican carry for a reason..and yep it will kill you...and as far as the leather holster, it was worn out & it was the owners fault for using a old worn out holster...where the leather had softened to the point of being dangerous...again noting to do with the pistol... You can chalk up every single AD/ND to stupid human tricks, no gun will shoot you or anybody if a human is not involved...it's like saying a hammer will smash your thumb...cuz it does not have 3 safeties... ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Just for gunman......:tttt: :tttt: :tttt: :tttt: I shot myself! There's a reason why the military changed to manual when it came to carrying a 1911. HAMMER DOWN ON AN EMPTY CHAMBER.
HOWEVER, they train daily...shoot more rounds in a month than gunmanwill in 5 years..and they shoot/train hard... The 1911 was designed to be carried in condition one...that is the safest way, a empty chamber will get you killed...but it is a weapon that requires training..and not just playing on a range and then a skill set that the average gun owner does not have, or want to achieve... ---AutoMerged DoublePost---

The best part about this is he says he had been doing it all day with his Glock, when he switched to his 1911 he shot himself... Someone need sto tell him he messed it up, the Glock is supposed to be the gun that goes off and makes you shoot yourself!
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Did I forget to mention.....in 1989 I saw my 1st 1911 ND/self inflicted gunshot...a Navy seaman guy shot himself in the thigh...accidentally while on the range qualifying on that weapon... Was really rather cool....:c: :c: :c: Go navy :jump: :jump: ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Accidental Discharge of a 1911 in a Thumb Break Holster..read the article... Accidental Discharge of a 1911 in a Thumb-Break Holster On January 19, 2008 I had a negligent discharge of my pistol. It's a Rock Island full size 1911. My story -the leg wounds |

This is not a problem with glock its a problem with stupidity get a holster that covers the trigger and the problem would be solved
