I havent got to take it out at all this year since I have been gone all summer, but i cant wait to get home and get it on the water. It is all origionall even the brand new looking interior. Post up some pics for all to see.I will try to get the wife to send me some.

Cool Boat!! Looks like it would be great for cruisin'! What size motor?

2141pete 08-14-2007 11:13 PM

Now that is a cool boat. I wish I could get the wife to send me pics of mine.

cashwheel 08-14-2007 11:20 PM

I love the older stuff, got a '59 Alumcaft 14' modified V for river fishing, handed down through all the men in my family starting with my great grandfather who bought it new in '58. Had to upgrade the 7.5 Evenrude that came on it to a '91 15, but it handles great and runs pretty skinny to be as old as it is, and the old motor makes great wall decoration.

2141pete 08-14-2007 11:32 PM

That is awesome you have a boat that has been in the family so long. I bet it is a nice one.

TCU Fan 08-14-2007 11:33 PM

I have a 24' Larson Ski and it has not been in the water in 2 Summers. Last year the lakes were too dry this year they are too high.

that's a nice boat swords. now when you say "good bay boat" is that good for the flats too?

RSWORDS 08-27-2007 04:19 PM

Not really... Draws some good water.. By Bay I mean the Chesapeake. The boat has a real deep V to the hull and will take some GREAT waves... I've been 35-40 Miles out into the Atlantic in one just like it.

Johnny Cetane 08-27-2007 04:21 PM

aah. that makes sense now. i was wondering what kinda trik you had figured to get that thing in the flats. tells ya how much i know about boats. :s:

RSWORDS 08-27-2007 04:29 PM

She wil run on plain (Wide Open) in ~ a foot of water... Just cant start or stop...

Texasmax 08-27-2007 04:30 PM

I guess that my memory is getting bad. It is actually a Johnson Super Sea Horse 35, or at least that is what the cover says.

Ram04SLT 08-29-2007 09:27 AM

Got a 86 or 89 dont remember the year for sure
Glasstron Fish and Ski V175 w/ a 115 Johnson Evanrude
I have only had it on the water a few times last year, been to busy otherwise or it has been toooo damn hot out.

i want to catch a steelhead before i die, then smoke it and eat it....

I like them boats....

Maj Easy 09-07-2007 11:07 PM

here a pic of our family's boat.
the company claims it's good for both fishing and sking, it'll need a tower for wake boarding tho.
it's a 1992 bow rider by four winns, it's a 19 foot inboard with a 5.0 HO ford cobra V8, it's got a great canvas cabin cover for shade that snaps to the top of the windsheld, i just bought it today for 6K and it only has 250 hours on it.... a mechanic and i tested it, every thing works and it's supposed to be able to pull 2 skiers (company info)

for fishing i need a trolling motor, i might get a 4 stroke kicker motor for the stern. my friend the mechanic doesn't want any fishing stuff on it tho.... lake texoma in oklahoma/texas is stocked with lots of stripers (striped bass) and they catch them trolling in deep water, some use gas 4 strokes for trolling.....

here's a pic of one type of kicker motor

Maj,

The first pontoon boat...not sure what that is. The Skagits are correct, though. The Duckworth is a jet sled.....a model not made anymore. Little guy, 18', with a 115 Yamaha outboard jet drive.

We don't do professional guiding--need special licenses for that--but always willing to take someone fishing with us.

I'm kinda under the weather lately but hopefully by next year I'll have the energy to get out in the boats more often. Took a two day trip in the ocean with the Skagit and it damn near killed me. LOL

Either way, I'm sure we can get you hooked up (pun intended) on some big ones when you're out here. :c:

nice post maj!

thats how i painted my 2 boats...

i used easy poxy to paint the hulls.. it's a nice hard paint!
i used restolium above the hull on my lobster boat... it comes out looking nice but the paint isn't really hard enough.
especially when i put my boat in the moring the painter wore off the pain on the bow.

STROKER400 11-16-2007 04:11 PM

I have an 96 21 ft ranger bass boat:c:
