My friends & I have had too many bad kel-tec guns, won't carry one for self-defense:nope::td:

I consider the .380acp as the absolute minimum for personal defense (against people) in a back up "point blank" gun. But if a 22 is all you have, by all means us it.
Regardless, what you carry should be relative to where you are. In town I carry a 38 or a 9mm. Out of town I go a bit larger.

I don't care what anybody says, I still like my S/W .500 and my .50AE Desert Eagle as defense weapons. the Judge works well while motorcycle riding.

somebody upstream asked if a .380 is a .38...... Nope, but, the bullet diameter seems to be super-darn popular... the old-time "Navy .36, the .38 Colt, the .38Spl, .38Super, the .357, the 9x19 Luger, the 9x18Makarov, and probably one or two others that I haven't known, remembered, or named all use the same bore.... None are identical to the others, though. There are differences of bullet weight, cartridge length and capacity, and powder formulations for different burn speeds and pressure generations. .380ACP and 9x18Makarov are very similar, and I think there are some guys who will interchange them in the same manner that a lot of people treat .223Remington and 5.56NATO. I don't know if that's a good idea. For a quick comparison, .380ACP can be about 85gr @ 1000-1100fps. 9x19 is often 115gr and 1100-1200fps. That's considerably more power, from a cartridge that almost looks the same.
