I know you guys like big guns but a .22 in the right hands with good bullet placement would probably be sufficient. Just thinking of easy to handle with hardly any recoil. Maybe a cci stinger hollow point. Don't be to hard on me it's just a thought.

Shot placement is everything, but with smaller caliber, it mite take a while for the bad guy to expire & that would give him time to hurt or kill you. I have a 22LR, 25acp, & a 32acp, those small rounds would have to be shot at eyes, temple, & throat to stop the bad guy:humm:

Just a thought, I know bullet placement is everything. Even a big caliber placed wrong won't completely stop someone. Then throw some drugs in the mix and it gets tough.

I'm looking at getting something for conceal and carry, think I've took a job traveling next year and really don't want to go unarmed to some of the big cities. I know nothing about pistols but have a lot of friends that do.

I got a ruger sr9c. Its a 9mm its nice. And shoots well. I carry it everyday when I'm not working.

I personally wouldn't carry anything smaller than a 9mm.

I had a 9mm once shot terrible. I'm not great with a pistol but a friend that shoots all the time couldn't hit much with it. This 380 being talked about, is that just a 38?

No its a .380. Google it smaller round.

What about the kel-tec that carries 20 something rounds of .22 mag. Hornady now makes the critical defense in .22mag that thing would be mean.

I wouldn't carry anything smaller than a .380 and probably wouldn't even carry that.
