I wouldn't buy a gun I had no idea about, I know what I am talking about when it comes down to it. I shoot the gun, almost everyday here at the farm. I have no issues with putting someone down who is trying to come on my land an engage it activities they shouldn't bother trying. Warning shot first, an if that don't scare them off, it's straight to the chest. :tu:

what does recoil have to do with penetration :s: I sold my S&W 500 mag, cause i realize i didn't need a gun that over penetrate & a box of 20 rounds was $50, i also sold the BFR 45/70 & RUGER SUPER REDHAWK 480, since i don't hunt dinosaurs :nope:

The recoil was bad, but i was able to control the gun, it isn't a fun gun to shoot:nope: I kept the two S&W 629 44 mag & the GRIZZLY 45 win mag. At least with the 44 MAG i can shoot the mild 44 SPECIAL & I can find 44 MAG ammo anywhere:humm:

Yeah, same with my .357 I have a selection of hollow points, an slugs. I have been looking into buying a S&W Judge my grandfather has one, an it's pretty wicked. We all love to collect guns here. Family comes down, to shoot an ride quads at the farm every year we have a family re-union. Lots of fun!

The 357 mag is an excellent round, but most young guys like guns with 15 or more rounds

I didn't say the 500 was not a fun gun to shoot.... Just not a good choice for defense.

My ruger is only 10 or so and the extended mag is 17. My 1911 well we all know what it holds.
