That J E E P is AWESOME:jump: Wish they made a JEEP like that in AMERICA, I would buy one in a heartbeat:tu:
|
Hmm, it's the italian 2.8 CRD VM engine, same as sold in the old Liberty CRD.
Stock with 160hp, so it's a good power increasement. They lifted the hood in the rear- heat problems as always (and did not find the cure?) .:updance: |

Nope it’s not the same engine as in the old Liberty CRD. And yes it’s a VM Euro 5/6 engine.
These are the standard specifications of this engine. Max. power output 130 kW 177 PS~ 174 hp @ 3800 rpm 410 Nm 303 lbs ft @ 2000 rpm This car so far has no cooling problems as the whole cooler pack is upgraded to desert cooling specifications. Yes we lifted the hood to reduce heat stress under the hood and the best way to get the hot air out is to lift the hood. It’s done to prevent problems as in this rally you will get loads of challenges for free even if you don’t need them.:humm: Yes we can build a copy of this Dakar special . Love to as long as they pay the bill. They hade some problem with tyres going flat on stage 3 and from what I understand they lost a lot of time with a problem in the diesel feed to the engine. Yesterday stage went fine and they made up a lot of lost time. Is it a boat or a car. Stage 3 of the rally. Don’t do this @ home. |
Stage 5:hellox:
|
Stage 7 a bit if hill climbing.
|
This is cool! Always loved watching that rally. I'd take one of those jeeps in a heartbeat!
