Oh, come on - it's always the same block, just different rail pressure 2000 instead of 1800, valves & injectors
The Wrangler has also a bigger intercooler than the libby, so no biggie.

Displacement 2776 cc 2776 cc 2776 cc 2776 2776 cc 2776
Cylinders 4 in line 4 in line 4 in line 4 in-line 4 in line 4 in-line
Valves 16 16 16 16 16 16 24
Max Power in kW (hp) 110 (150) 120 (161) 120 (163) 130 (177) 130 (177)

Sad thing is, all friends with the Wrangler are not happy with the fuel consumption. That thing is a diesel guzzler. 16l/100km is way to much. That equals in 16mpg! :scare2:

The Le Dakar rally 2012 was a big challenge and many did not make it to the finish.

Egbert and Carlo botch Dakar debutants get to the finish. Also the car hold on to the end but gave the team some challenges. They even had a wheel communing off and they had to replace the whole rear axel.
Aldo the engine did not have any serious problems some things where hard to find but eventually we did find the problem and solution to it.

I’m very happy with the result and now we can say we did test the VM to the limit as we had to encounter hi temperatures dust and water and vibrations for many hours.

In the oncoming weeks we will evaluate this rally and look into improvements.

I hope for the next year we can do more rally cars and give support to more teams.

The Jeep Wrangler was a bit of a heavy weight so it needed to lose some.

The hood, doors and rear panels are now made from a very strong material with a lot of Kevlar in it.
Also the back of the cars has been cut of to reduce weight and have easier excess to the spare tires. Also taking the rear panels of takes less than a minute and makes it very easy to service the rear of the car.

It is still possible to rent this car for the oncoming Le Dakar Rally as the team owner from this car rented a race truck for the oncoming Le Dakar Rally.

For those who are interested in these body panels and doors we can build some more.

hey dont pick on the libby diesel. i have one and its truly amazing. love it i will never get rid of it. 28 mpg highway and its 4wd small suv, and i can smoke the tires and do donuts on dry pavement. they have a lot of power, i have diablo extreme power puck in mine and it does pretty good. wish they made more upgrades but they are so hard to find in us, they only made round 10,000 of them in the U.S. between 2005 and 2006.
