Well....Wednesday certainly was a productive day! Pretty much got everything off the frame but the cab, but all thats holding it on is the wiring harness and the steering column....which is a problem all in itself. Anyone know whats the best way to secure the steering column so it doesnt move and break the clock springs on the air bag sensor? We tried getting the one out of the parts truck and broke the one teat right off....which defiantly cant happen on this one! Hopefully within the next week or so I can round up a few friends and get this cab off and then take care of the frame!

Well I managed to round up a few guys this afternoon and we managed to get the cab off and get the frame situated. Not bad for a mothers day worth of work....up next is getting the exhaust off, junk auto out and manual in. Also going to tackle cleaning and prepping the frame for POR 15 along with new low pressure fuel lines, lift pump, and brake lines. Not to mention taking the head off to put a new head gasket on along with studs, 60 lb. valve springs and 4K governor springs. Got allot of work to do! :tttt:

well i thought about doin an extended cab, but then id need a different bed. When we tore the tranny off we checked the pan...and wouldnt ya now, between the magnet being packed full of gunk and the aluminum shavings in the bottom of it id have to say that it was toast. Anyone want a 47RH to rebuild or for a core? haha :tttt: Next is mating the fly wheel and double disk to the crank, and slappin on the NV-4500. :rocking:

well i finally made some progress, however slow. After we got it all together and in the first time, the tranny started leaking gear oil which turned out to be a cracked case. :bat: Fortunately though the shop i bought it off of stood behind it, and found me a good case so now were one step closer, along with a lengthened rear drive shaft.

Ugh, its been to long since I have posted anything so here is some progress. I was really surprised to see as much honing marks as I did for 312,000 miles, I guess I got a lightly used one :jump:
