*Picture Request* Where do you mount your cb whips?
hey guys looking at buying some whips for my future/current truck don't know where to mount it, or to just buy magnetic pictures if possible would be awesome!

what size whip(s) you looking at buying

if your looking to buy two whips and use them both then you are going to be looking at a place that has about 109 inches between mounting spots for them to work at their best... and usually you want them located middle of the truck (front of the bed) so that they send a signal lobe towards the front... if they are up by the engine that will send the main signal lobe towards the back of the truck...
So in my opinion a single antenna mounted on the center of the cab would be your best bet! |
^^^^i agree. i've got the wilson 1000 mounted on my cab. its not the magnetic base either. i've got a nice little whole drilled and i don't have any leaks so far. and i've had it up the for a couple years now. but i'm gonna go w/ a little bit smaller antenna though due to mine reaching out and grabbing a lot of trees and some low bridges.

I would say a good 3' or 4' mounted like this would work great. That is what I have found works best for a single. Also make sure you get a good spring for it. |

Mounted a single 9' whip on my headache rack. Works and looks good from there I think.
