engine bay cleaning
any tips on the most effective approch on cleaning up the bay. is a low pressure sprayer alright or just lots of simple green and rags :c: mixed with alot of elbow grease
|
Did you ever tried Diesel and a rag?
We did it in the military -before it was prohibited by law for environment safety: |
well i have plenty of that thats for sure ill have to give it a try. i was hoping i would be able to use the low pressure engine degreaser at a car wash without screwing stuff up
|
just let it soak in - start to clean the next day.
Just make sure to cover alternator and ECM, if you should use the pressure washer. It will save you some high dollars... |
Spray everything down with degreaser... drive and get the motor warm... Park it, let it cool a little, and start spraying. Then I go in with a little tub of degreaser, and a hand brush, and just scrub the stuff that needs it... Then spray it down again.

If you can afford a couple cans, get Citrol. :rocking: If it can cut through this nasty crude we produce around here like a hot knife through butter, it'll surely clean an engine bay no sweat. :tu:

good deal thanks guys summers here and its time to do some cleaning :rocking:

Check out my thread i have on the 95 for before and after pics :D Lotsa simple green/areosol engine degreaser, kerosene, brushes, scubbing pads and a couple of wrecked t-shirts. But its worth it!
