Used to posting up on Cummminsforum Well thats my truck, Haven't filled out my sig so I'll put it in here. 1998 12v Quad Cab Short Bed Slt Laramie has about every factory option. Has leather interior in Beige. The only "bombs" I've done to it so far are a new intake, deleted the cat and muffler, and starwheel has a few cranks, and the plate has been slid forward a bit. Oh and last week I torched those rusty steps off. Working on enough funds to buy a ValveBody 35x12.50r16 Baja Claws are being shipped out hopefully here by Friday. They will be going on my new 16x8 DC-2 Black Rims and it will be leveled in a week too. :rocking: Thats it. Comments & suggestions are welcome. |

Yeah its a work in progress.
I think this summer I will start building more stuff for it myself./ So far on the list are an Intake Horn, Ladder bars, smoke box and 6" flat black mitres, NFab style side steps, Heat sheild for the stacks, and If I get really adventerous a front and rear bumper. I'll keep everyone updated on it as it continues to progress. What are your guys' opinion on the taillights? |
what did you do tint the tail light or something?

They are sprayed with VHT Nightshades 2 coats. Then they have something like 4-5 coats of Clear on them.
I like them alot better now! Just wish I had 1 pieced smoked headlights to match. |

Im just gonna throw this out there. I would get some 10 in wide wheels to mount those 12.5 tires on. A lot of people run the 8 in wide wheels with 12.50s but its not good on the tires. oh and the truck looks pretty good. looking forward to seeing the rest of the bombs when youre done

I looked into a 10" wheel. Everyone I talked to said that with a 2.5" level it would rub like no other!
Plus they were more 'spensive. Not good on a college student that works at a grocery store part time :nope: But yeah keep subscribed the mods will be spaced out but I'll keep updating it as we progress. On a side note, my Bilstein 5100 shocks are 7-10 days if I buy them from Oreily's. Anybody know an internet site with fast shipping?:argh::argh::argh: Looks like the tires will be on before the level. Here we come massive rub! |

Well I went with TopGunCustomz. FOr some reasone Eshocks.com kind of cufused me with their site.
Anyway I went with the Bilstein 5100 series with shocks built for 0-2" lift in the rear and 2-3" in the front. Now its just a waiting game to see when they show up. :tu::tu: Keep up the good work. Building things yourself can be a pain but when it's done it's worth it. I have all kinds of ideas just wish I had a little more time.

My leveling kit is sitting in the back seat of my truck :tu: Plus my tires and Wheels were going to arrive at the Tire store at 2:30 today so hopefully by tommorow I will have pics up of my tires and wheels even if they aren't on the truck :yeah: I'm definetly excited!! |

Well I'm still waiting on my damn Shocks. I need to call Top Gun Customz again tommorow and see if they have a tracking number. I'm tired of waiting on them to show up its driving me nuts.
I did turn my smoke screw up a bit tonight and it seems to have helped my spooling a bit... Atleast it helped on the seat of the pants dyno :tu: Cleaned the engine up a bit as well with some engine cleaner and hosed her off. Took the valve cover vanity off and now I'm waiting for the paint to dry. I'm going to sand the paint off of the raised lettering so it looks nice and polished and professional. I'll post pics when I'm done. |

They balanced very easy and they are quieter than my MTZ's!
It rides better now to it goes over the bumps easier and the shocks helped alot.. Thanks for the compliment.:rocking: |

I love it with the wheels just needs some stacks and tow mirrors now to add some agressivness.
