Wow! She's purdy. I like that truck a lot.

and OBS does mean old body style, aka 97 and older on most Ford sites.

DieselCrawler 04-20-2010 08:38 AM

i always put obs with the 94-97 trucks. in my mind the 80-06 was the first gen, 87-93 second gen.

i got a first gen ford. lol

dcsnowman169 04-20-2010 11:56 AM

And how much cash?

We are actually planning on doing more lift within the next year. We broke the trans in half this weekend. So we are talkin about stripping the whole truck down andrunning rockwells then adding about another 8" of lift. It's fun but climbing in and out wears me out lol I miss the 4" some times.

Birdman71 05-07-2010 06:46 PM

i love how these older trucks have so much frame twist when flexed.

btw i wish that was my back yard.

FordDZLMan9191 05-16-2010 04:23 PM

I had a 92 F250 gasser that looked exactly like that and I thought I was going to break something when my friends told me its was twisting that much. Insane, wish I could've afford to rebuild the motor in that truck. But I wouldn't have my diesel if i hadn't sold it. sweet truck btw. When I blew the motor in mine I wanted to swap in a Cummins, if only money grew on trees...

9powerstroke9 05-17-2010 08:11 PM

bad93cummins...your truk looks bad as he##

92_cummins_f250 05-18-2010 11:33 PM

DieselCrawler, Their house is awesome, it's on 40 acres I think it is and they have permission to be in the rock pit and part of the surrounding wooded area. Sucks though, we used to be able to go on the whole ridge behind the house, it's probably about 2 miles or so long total, but the kids of the owner took over watching after it and threw everyone off of it.

FordDZLMan9191, thanks for the comment! Yeah, this is my first fullsize Ford, never realized that they twisted up that bad, kinda scary looking lol

FordDZLMan9191 05-18-2010 11:53 PM

My F-250 like that was my first extended cab. I'd only had regular cabs before that and never noticed that much flex with my F-150 and the POS dodge I had looked like it was going to break in half right behind the cab. But, I looked back in the mirror one of the times I was out playin and noticed my bed was like 2" out of line with my cab and my first thought was "oh shit:scare2::scare2:, hope i didn't just crack or break my frame" checked it out and all was good. Then i didn't worry so much after that. I was even thinking about running 37" mil tires on that truck but when i figured the price of a 6" lift, getting 16.5" rims to mount tires on and then paying 600 bucks for tires, that idea was long gone.

SSpeeDEMONSS 05-19-2010 10:28 PM

very nice trucks! i sure wish i would have bought an OBS instead of my 03 6.0. it would have a cummins in it for sure!

Garrett
