Now I think I have seen it all.:f::f:

GRI 08-20-2007 10:14 AM

wow! if that guy ever hits any thing it will separate easily. that is some of the worst booty fab I have ever seen. I have seen stacked frame body lifts but this is retarded.

Johnny Cetane 08-20-2007 10:16 AM

that's just total and complete horsepuckey!! some people just shouldn't be allowed to buy tools!! i can't believe that they would license a passenger motor vehicle with a double frame anyway. it's illegal in many states. now you know why. lol.

RSWORDS 08-20-2007 10:21 AM

I think what gets me more than anything is the fact that is started as a nice truck... I could see the reasoning behind doing it to an old beater truck for a mud bog (still ghetto fabed though) but why do it to a nice truck like that. AND THEN NOT EVEN HOOK UP THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT!!!

Johnny Cetane 08-20-2007 10:23 AM

i see it's a diesel. we should find a way to track this guy and ban him if he tries to join unless he fixes it. :U: lol.

scarecrow 08-20-2007 10:24 AM

man that guy needs to be drug back to his garage and beat with his own tools.......the way people build trucks blowes my mind. and the sad part is they see nothing wrong with it.....

GRI 08-20-2007 10:50 AM

I disagree. someone should find him. give him a Diesel bombers invite card. then ask him to post pictures of his rig and then bash the hell out of him!!!!!!!!!:U:

babydoll214 08-20-2007 10:57 AM

I have seen some pretty stupid looking stuff, but I think this honestly takes the cake! That is AWFUL! The really sad part is that I can almost guarantee that he doesn't think there is a single thing wrong with it...

that could work too. lol :U:

RSWORDS 08-20-2007 02:28 PM

I woudl love to dee that thing do a real hard boosted 4x4 launch... I can hear the anouncer at the track now.... "well the duramaxes times are as follows... The lower frame ran a respectable 13.86 and the uper frame came in a little slower at 15.43"

BBBWWWHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Uncle Bubba 08-20-2007 04:02 PM

In concept or theory, I think it's a cool idea. By using the dual frames he is not changing any of the geometry of the suspension, or steering, I'm not smart enough to tell from the pictures how he has the engine and drivetrain lined up. But basically just a new drop Pitman Arm and your in business with all the stock parts.

Ok I was nice for minute. Now for the build itself. What the hell pack a stoned monkeys figured out all that fabrication crap. This has got to be a joke. With all the crap things that cops worry about some times why are they letting this contraption roll down the road. From the looks of it the forward momentum of a quick stop would tear those things he's callin supports right off the stock chasis.

To all those folks in my past that I argued with for using 4X4 wooden blocks as lifts for their trucks, I apologize. comparitavely speaking I guess your ideas weren't so bad after all.

Johnny Cetane 08-20-2007 04:08 PM

i've sat here today and have tried to answer the "why" part of this but for the life of i can't. from an amount of work stand point this idea comes in last. from expense standpoint this idea comes in last. and from the safety standpoint this idea doesn't even make the list. i just can't figure out why anyone would even dream of doing it. IFS isn't that hard to lift if you know what you're doing and $3000-$4000 for a kit ain't anywhere near as expensive as what this has/will cost.

Uncle Bubba 08-20-2007 04:13 PM

I bet he spent next to nothin on this. A junk yard chasis for the second frame and some scrap metal would have taken care of the biggest part of this build. I'm sure he thinks he's a genius for thinkin of it.

cbrahs 08-20-2007 04:20 PM

I will have to keep my eye open for this truck. It looks like a New Mexico plate. I have never seen it but would probably wreck my truck from laughing so hard. You would be AMAZED on the gheto fab work that is in this state!!

Uncle Bubba 08-20-2007 04:26 PM

I've spent time on the roads in Panama, Honduras and the Ukrain, among a few other remote locations and thought I'd seen about every kinda contraption sorta thing there was, but this one is still a shocker, and it's right here on our roads in one of the most developed countries in the world. We should all be proud.

rolloffhill 08-20-2007 06:52 PM

From what I heard, it was parked at a salvage yard in New Mexico. I know it is second hand info, but that is what I heard. It is a good place for it though....

Dr. Evil 08-20-2007 07:13 PM

OMG, its got a Duramax...

What a waste.

HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I think two drops of pee came out I laughed so hard. Seriously this guy might have kids. I am scared he might really think he is onto something.

dieseljunkie 08-21-2007 03:44 PM

Holy Mother of God that is rediculous. I have seen some crazy booty fab in my day, but damn. Thats just stupid. I don't understand why you would do that.. not to mention, its a newer truck.. Sad that its a duramax though. Just about the only good thing on that truck are the tail lights LOL...
Scott

cbrahs 08-21-2007 09:04 PM

U-Pull it is a salvage yard here in town. I have never seen the truck but I am looking now. There are some real turds (vehicle booty fab work) on that side of town. People do the dumbest things.

HOTMOPR 08-21-2007 09:25 PM

Its awesome !! Run 44" swampers and still ride like a caddy.. :se: WT:edit:?

00' Quad Cab 08-21-2007 10:06 PM

2001shrtbedcummins 08-21-2007 10:17 PM

I wanna see him try a burnout :hd:

RodZZilla 08-22-2007 09:27 AM

Maybe he got a deal on two sets of nerf bars and decided that was the way to use them. It needs more bracing or just plate the whole thing together. Should have mounted the drivetrain in the second frame to keep the COG lower. :se:

GmcLbz 08-22-2007 10:57 AM

That's a work of art!

cummins freak 08-22-2007 12:38 PM

He must have spent some money on it becasue he's two broke to actually buy tires that fit the lift

Diesel Dummy 08-22-2007 04:55 PM
