Team MonsterRig 2009 (pix included)

As some of you may know... MonsterRig Inc has teamed up with Bill Fletcher (aka Diesel Pros), Eric Cordovia (aka Vulcan Performance), and Don Morrison (aka F1Diesel) to bring sled pulling up a notch in the PacificNW.
Fletcher transformed a stock Marine block that was obtained from my friend Paul. To compliment the motor Fletcher built, I picked up one of his top of the line cams that has just recently been introduced to the market. I ended up upgrading the bottom turbo and the cam instantly spools the turbos. With zero programming loaded and driving like grandma, I hit 20psi quick with only 1/4 throttle! and with no effort! The truck has really woke up with the new cam. Thank you Fletcher! Don really helped out ensuring that anything that was needed for this project was just a phone call away. The Flux4 injectors are really smooth and clean. The power is very linear from what I can tell on stock settings and the sky is the limit as I turn the fuel up. Don is truely a master at his craft! I picked up a new set of F1 sportsman springs and tappets to compliment the motor build. Everything came back from the machine shop within the specs claimed just as advertised! Thank you Don! Last but not least, Eric made sure all the fuel supply needs were met. Every fuel line has been done in stainless braid for strength and for better visual appeal; he even made a custom Y for the dual cp3's . The fuel tank was custom modified to supply a high volume of fuel without worrying about leaks or kinks. Eric made sure there was a solid suppy of air to match fueling by getting a S480 bottom turbo ordered up right away; polished housing no less. Also to compliment the turbo, a new stainless air intake was added for flow. Thank you Eric! I really feel that I have pulled together a great team in support of increasing greater aweness of not just what the MonsterRig will do, but to diesel sports for the greater NW. I am truely grateful to have such great experts in the diesel field and friends who care enough to help a guy out when he was down. Thank you all who were involved from the bottom of my heart! no problem with the ecm/pcm. i used the ecm that was on the melted down motor.
marine block... i'm not to disclose... "a friend" :) |
Well when mine goes cause im sure it will some day with as much fuel and timing im pushing I will send you a PM tel your friend to find me another Marine block for me.

The truck made its first pull this year without a issue. It didn't win and it didn't lose but no where but up to go. I've never been able to spool at the line before, and as you can see a small puff and then it clears right up.
I was also able to get the Isspro datalogger hooked up. Man is thing sweet. Look at the attached graphs. Pull 1 was with the power turned up and the TST doing pressure level 5. Pull 2 is with the power turned up but with the Smarty doing the pressure level 3. Not much difference. Attachment 53191 Attachment 53192 Attachment 53193 Attachment 53194 Attachment 53195 |
Camotanker, were you in the 06 diesel power challenge?Your truck looks famalier.
|
never mind,i figured it out.You was in the 06 diesel power challenge.I've also met you once and have seen your truck in person. You've got a sweet lookin truck.:U::U:
|
I just wanted to share with you the video of the last pull. The truck is coming along nicely. Outside of some high drive pressure issues, the truck is performing well. I need to get the temps down, not happy with 2000* temps. Scares me. This is level 1 Smarty - 700hp.
Enjoy. |
thats awesome man truck is looking great glad to hear the motor is working out for ya:U:
|
Great job bud.Truck sounded like it was running smooth:U:
|
2000* OHH WOW!!! How are you gonna go about dropping those temps?

not sure about the temps... but going to see what water will do to help them a bit.
the 2000* issue isn't uncommon for many pullers after doing some research... so i'm not as worried as i once was. - just got to keep the timing down - lol:w2: ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- got some photos from the local pit today. :5: Attachment 51559 Attachment 51560 Attachment 51561 Attachment 51562 Attachment 51563 |
