I will post here before and after pictures. I am going to try it tomorrow morning to see how it works. I am hoping it works out because these dents are pretty slight, but I'd still like the truck to be dent free...

I didn't work, but its mostly because the hair dryer wasn't hot enough... I think I'll try a suction cup next, unless I can find a real heat gun that gets hotter.

I tried it on a small dent I had, spent $8 for the can of stuff, -65 degress it said and I used a heat gun to warm it up...conclusion I wasted $8 BUCKS AND 10 MINUTES :argh:

might work on a specific type of dent, but not on mine.

that will work on dents on thin panels that have small not very deep or sharp dents in them... if the metal is stretched any that trick won't work.. there is nowhere for it to go

I would also use a heat gun and just be carefull not to discolor or damage the paint


i work in a bodyshop.. we have had 2 major hail storms in town this year one of which hit the shop including my truck and the 90+ cars we had in progress... what a mess i have been working 60-70hrs a week for the last 2 months.... we will be working on hail cars this time next year, the first storm had softball size dents.... you don't PDR those... you cut the roof off and replace it :ouch:

yah, i'm jsut finishing up all my estimates/claims for hail damaged cars around here -- thank God we didn't have hail that big... most of ours is PDR'able... Conventional repair for hail dents cna get EXPENSIVE and total a lot of cars, specially ones that were already damaged in the first place!

I'm a parts manager/estimator for a large production shop here in central ga.

Yah, I worked 2.5 years for Progressive Insurance in Oklahoma... then I took the job working as a pipeline controller and have been doign that for over a year now, but decided to inspect cars to keep my adjusters license current and to make a little extra cash on the side...

oh, and btw, I HATE FLOOD CARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

cool, we have a could of hotties that write for progressive that come by the shop, when they are there our speed goes way down LOL

i have been lucky, we don't get many flood cars in my neck of the woods... with all the bad weather we have had i have written several that was mushed by trees, most of them (luckly) totaled. the worst part of my job is dealing with some nimrods on the phone that wants to rewrite my estimate from 100 miles away and they have never held a wrench in their had :argh: but they are going to tell me how to fix the cars and how long its going to take :bat:
