[QUOTE=Whitmore;25706]cool man..now get you a chunk of 3/8" pipe insulation the foam stuff and run it down the stick to the rubber boot

I got a better Idea!

This is a proto-type, the second verson will have flushed set screws for the knob!

Thanks for the insperation Whitmore!

DBogo 06-04-2007 09:43 PM

so how much, i see the start of a basement enterprise here, care to make any for the old 5spd guys with the bent shifter, that looks absolutely awsome

ERorlandoC 06-05-2007 03:54 PM

I'm not sure how one would look bent, I suppose I could try? Here is the problem with the basment enterprise, I've got $60 bucks and 2 1/2 hours labor into the shaft and knob. USPS.com says shipping would cost $5 to $10 flat rate. I'd have to get at least $100 bucks to make it worth it to me to mass produce. Send me a pic of your bent shifter, I've never seen one.

DBogo 06-05-2007 04:49 PM

this aint my truck, i dont have an interior pic of it but heres what one looks like, im not sure if it woudl look good or not, i wonder if you can use the straight shifter on the older trucks

I haven't really built anything to special for my truck.
My trailer didn't have a loading ramp when I bought it so I built one; here is the ramp I finished a few weeks ago.
I used 1x1 square tubing to support the plywood with 1x2 side rails. I made the hinge out of 2X2 angle and 1/4 x 3" flat stock. It folds up flush inside the back door and I built a locking latch to hold it in place.

Relocate radio, install gages on 02 3500

5 Attachment(s)
Have been playing around with where to mount 3 gages, have a Sony radio with CD/cdrw player extra i bought some month ago, found this under dash radio bracket, bought pigtails from factory radio, is a premium unit with CD player, to Sony unit
Waiting on 2 more gages i ordered from VULCAN, is going to install and connect a 3 along with low pressure light, have one light in one to go.
Took light from pocket, placed it above radio, so it is easier to change Cd's at night.
Have a pump relocating kit there need to be installed too, will do that when i adjust valves and have my injector pump friend to check/ rebuild/ replace tips as needed. Do rebuild injectors ( Lucas and repair cav pumps ), just don't have the setup for Bosch.

The under dash mount came from circuit city, was going to buy one on line, was not sure of fit, would have take it back if no go.
It fit perfect, did not have to do anything but 2 brackets on bottom, 1 on top.
Will take pic's when i get the rest installed.
Making the plate for gauges was easy using alu plate.

have bag it came in, will look tomorrow and post part #

That hidden winch is a great idea. :U::U:

JY04 01-22-2008 12:06 PM

Thanks for the comments.Ive had that winch on my trailer for close to ten years and never really used it that much because maintaining batteries for infrequent use was a pain,so decided to hang it under the truck instead so maybe it would actually get some use!

lawnboy01 01-26-2008 08:28 AM

So far, fuel filter mount, traction bars, pulling hitch, weight bar, EGR delete and getting ready to do drive shaft loops.

Their just one of my hair brained idea,s.I had to mount the winch high in the frame (another story)and where I had to position it left very few options for mounting of cross members for mounts. The front mount is positioned inside a factory cross member and I,m happy with its rigity, but the rear cross member is clamped to the frame then bolted up into a factory cross member.I was kinda afraid of this one trying to walk around ,putting a lota strain on the body of the winch,so since I had to have a place to mount the fair lead anyway ,I cobbed up those struts to push off the hitch and sorta vise the winch between the two cross members to prevent any movement and gave me a place to mount the fairlead,I probably worry too much.

Its not a AFE but was copied off of that I had to customize for the plow lights harness and what not. It has dads old AFE filter on it so my total cost into this is $40 :U: the turbo SCREAMS when I get into it now! for awhile I thought it was turbo-less since you could barely hear it.

I put the afe decal on
