I have had good luck with tide, and have also mixed a goop of my own, equal parts tide, dawn dish soap and coke. biggest thing is the cleaning it as soon as you can, don't let it sit.
I've heard of using concrete powder, never tried it. |
Baking soda works great on asphalt. I've only used it once on concrete and it did get the oil up. I wipe up as much as possible, then sprinkle baking soda on it. Rub it in lightly. It will turn dark where there is oil. Inside I waited a day then swept it up. Outside I just let it sit till it rains. Stain is gone and so is the baking soda.

i've used brake parts cleaner with good success it lifts the oil out of the concrete and then wipe it up

muriatic acid will clean it right up. you can use it to clean the whole driveway to if you are going to seal it. but for a stain just pour some on and cover the whole stain and wait about fiften or twenty minutes then rinse with plenty of water. be very careful to NOT get it in your eyes or on your skin. you can buy it at most harware stores.

Will that work for silicone too? Spraying my tires has mine looking like a jig-saw puzzle. New house, old lady's getting mad. I told her it only shows up when it's raining! :D

We've used all kinds of products, so far are the quickcrete concrete cleaners and PURPLE POWER....of course you can ask anyone that was at dyno day......I've got so many vehicles leaking on the ground there's no reason to even try!

Muriatic acid can eat away at your driveway also...
Brake cleaner works great. I had a nasty leak running on my drive way for a long time until I started to clean. I had huge oil and fuel spots everywhere. I picked up some brake cleaner and that worked perfect. Only thing is, I needed a lot of cans. After it was cleared up, I noticed that my driveway has small cracks everywhere where the spots were. Woops... If you dont want to spend the money on brake cleaner; Soap, water, brush. |

What I found out that works excellent is mineral spirits. I was doing a nasty dirty job on a truck and made quite a mess on the floor so we use the washer washer solvent to wash the floors and it worked exceelent. After ready the ingredients on the bucket its Mineral Spirits... Buy it at you local NAPA store for part washers...
