There is nothing wrong with a Transgo Shift Kit. We were just saying there is a big difference between putting a Transgo kit in a stock VB than buying an aftermarket high performance VB.

For instance, I emailed Olee and asked him what he used in his VB's and this is the reply I got:

"I don't use any kits like trans-go.. I have all parts and springs made for me.

that cool i mean i have an ats trans so the valve body is from them but for people that buy it or thinking about it they will have an opinion on the product

so if your going to have someone install it that knows what they are doing than the TFOD is the way to go but if your looking for an out of the box throw it in and go VB then get as built one?

Exactly...Just ask Luke. We just had a conversation about people calling at 1am wanting tech instructions lol

I saw a local transmission builder that has been building transmissions for 27 yrs install a shift kit. He had to drop the pan and pull the VB out 4 times until it shifted correctly.

out of all these trucks , i drove a 6.0L Ford with a stock transmission and the stock tranny shifted firmer and smoother and put all the dodges ive driven with stock or built transmission to shame WAY BAD ! the Ford was damn near like a hydrostatic pure kick ass.

Thats because the Torque shift transmission's valve bodys are nothing but a bunch of solenoids and can be changed in the tuning with an SCT. But I will agree they are a nice trans with aftermarket tuning and seem to hold up fairly well and bump gears nice, their stock torque converters have much better fluid coupling than our dodges.
