I've taken it to a body shop and they just want me to buy the outer panel

Preferrably yes if i get it for a good price...

ive never shipped anything to ice land or anything as big as a truck bed but im bet the shipping would be killer

Yeah, anything you save from these guys you'd pay back in shipping fees. Your best bet is probably just to stick with the body shop or a local junkyard.

angelic0- 06-09-2009 05:22 PM

local junkyards don't have any newer GM trucks than 1993 models...

and the body shop still wants a new quarterpanel

just caled my relatives over in Luneburg MA, they advised that i should call City Line...

anyone know these salvage yard guys or if they have any Chevy parts?

Wasn't me :ph:

and it was a lightpole...

i bought the truck like this off a auction for a little less than 4000$, wich i hope is a good deal...

now i just need a bed and the parts to fix the cab...

kazairl 06-09-2009 05:50 PM

I think you would almost be better off parting the truck out. I wouldn't trust the cab or frame to be straight after it hit something as hard as it looks like it did. My .02

Dealer has the parts needed for about 3200$

Truck is listed at 33205$ at the local dealer...

paint and work is maybe another 1000$ if so much..

why should i part it ?

The cab only has the damage on that corner, it's not the whole cab twisted..

no damage is visible on the roof, but i will be needing a new rear door on the passenger side..

is anyone willing to look around for me on a salvage site ?

kazairl 06-09-2009 06:10 PM

United AUto Recyclers

Bedside and RR door will run ya about $650 then however much it will cost to ship. Don't know about the cab corner.
You can click on parts search and find the ones you need. Or call them.
