mysterync 06-09-2009 01:24 PM

I'd put a cab and bed on it before I messed with fixing that!

K50 06-09-2009 01:57 PM

:lol88: what the hell did you do??

RSWORDS 06-09-2009 02:20 PM

YOU JUST BOUGHT THAT!!! :D

Most the guys on here focus on Performance parts. I dont think any of them can get that stuff.

mysterync 06-09-2009 02:22 PM

I can get it, But junk yard cab and bed is the way to go!

angelic0- 06-09-2009 03:31 PM

Can anyone point me in the right direction here...

The Cab is easily serviceable...

I only thing i need is to get is a new bed or the quarterpanel on it...

Diesel Dawgs Performance 06-09-2009 03:32 PM

Wish I could Help

angelic0- 06-09-2009 03:34 PM

so do i...

and your prices are so good Luke so i wish it were you that could help me....

01superduty89 06-09-2009 03:37 PM

wow i would be a my dealer! probably the only place to get a new bed panel from. im sure the bed floor is bad too so maybe a whole new bed!

DB Admin 06-09-2009 03:38 PM

So you need a bed shipped to iceland ?

angelic0- 06-09-2009 03:41 PM

I've taken it to a body shop and they just want me to buy the outer panel

Preferrably yes if i get it for a good price...

DB Admin 06-09-2009 03:48 PM

ive never shipped anything to ice land or anything as big as a truck bed but im bet the shipping would be killer

K50 06-09-2009 04:05 PM

Yeah, anything you save from these guys you'd pay back in shipping fees. Your best bet is probably just to stick with the body shop or a local junkyard.

angelic0- 06-09-2009 05:22 PM

local junkyards don't have any newer GM trucks than 1993 models...

and the body shop still wants a new quarterpanel

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

just caled my relatives over in Luneburg MA, they advised that i should call City Line...

anyone know these salvage yard guys or if they have any Chevy parts?

2500HeavyDuty 06-09-2009 05:33 PM

perfect time for a flat bed :humm:

01superduty89 06-09-2009 05:40 PM

Wasn't me :ph:

and it was a lightpole...

i bought the truck like this off a auction for a little less than 4000$, wich i hope is a good deal...

now i just need a bed and the parts to fix the cab...

kazairl 06-09-2009 05:50 PM

I think you would almost be better off parting the truck out. I wouldn't trust the cab or frame to be straight after it hit something as hard as it looks like it did. My .02

Dealer has the parts needed for about 3200$

Truck is listed at 33205$ at the local dealer...

paint and work is maybe another 1000$ if so much..

why should i part it ?

The cab only has the damage on that corner, it's not the whole cab twisted..

no damage is visible on the roof, but i will be needing a new rear door on the passenger side..

is anyone willing to look around for me on a salvage site ?

kazairl 06-09-2009 06:10 PM

United AUto Recyclers

Bedside and RR door will run ya about $650 then however much it will cost to ship. Don't know about the cab corner.
You can click on parts search and find the ones you need. Or call them.

Anyone care to explain...

What is Quadrasteer, and what are wheel opening flares?

From the pictures of my truck, what size is my bed? isn't it a 6 1/2 ft?

quas steer is 4 wheel steering, the gmc denalis had that feature.

6.5 foot bed

angelic0- 06-10-2009 05:47 PM

Ripped off the bed and cranked the torsion bars....

http://myndasafn.bmwkraftur.is/d/74060-1/IMG00016.jpg

As you can clearly see, there is no damage to the frame, only the mounts on the bed were damaged, but they are easily repairable...

http://myndasafn.bmwkraftur.is/d/74063-1/IMG00017.jpg

Here you can see the corner on the cab, this part is serviceable, and can be bought from the dealer, although a little expensive, the door is repairable according to the body shop guys...

kazairl 06-10-2009 06:26 PM

Lucky. From your other pictures it looked like it might have smashed the frame in a little too.

I'm still a little iffy about the cab but I guess if the dealer says they can repair it good luck. Hope it works out for ya.

I was just looking through Craigslist. There is a complete 6.5ft bed local to me for $1500. Shipping would probably be outrageous though. Wow I just looked that is a long ways away!!!

Good idea!

I just checked the companies UI know of, best thing to do is pay a junkyard for one and get it shipped.

Looks like i'll be jumping on this, i have one offer of a slightly damaged bed here in Iceland that i'll be checking out first and then i'll be checking out this bed if that bed doesn't meet my requirments...

wtfd6 06-15-2009 12:37 PM

Sorry about that I missed you asking for that. But yes there it is:U: It is within 20 miles of me if you would like me to check it over for you.

I would do glass bed sides then. it would be cheaper. I am doing FiberwerX Offroad Fiberglass Products: Fenders, Bed Sides, Dashs, and Complete Body Kits bedsides and fenders. Shipping is going to kill you. I got a shipping quote for Sweden (it was for an A-pillar and another small part total cost was $200) shipping was over the price of the parts.
