Injector sleeves or cups
I was just wondering how important it was to pull and reseal the sleeves when the injectors are getting replaced. I have read pros and cons. Thanks in advance

I am going to be doing mine next week and I am worried about leaks since this will be the 2nd time they have been changed. The first time was by a dealer and I don't think he resealed them. I am not even sure he replaced them all like he said since three more are bad less than 40 thousand miles latter. |
wow thats rough well if you find any thing thats useful id be glad to hear from you im a day or two from getting mine done and keepin my fingers crossed i hope it works riht this is the first set ive done kinda goin in blind

I did mine in Jan. every one of my cups came out and i'm glad they did because i know they were seated back properly. Everything i read b4 i did it said if they don't come up with the injector then don't worry about them. I don't like doing thing half way and wonder if it's right so if i did it again i would pull any that didn't come out. reseating them really isn't bad I used red locktite sealant like everyone says you should get the cups in straight and with a drift or even an extension for your ratchet will do. drive it in gently till the drift bounces back with each smack you'll know it's seated. don't forget to clean the seat areas spotless b4 you reseat them

thanks for the reply veggimaxny. I agree that it would be better to reseal all the cups. My problem is what if some of the cups do not come out with the injectors? Is there some other way to get them out with out the tool that no body seems to have. Plus it is pretty expensive. Anyway I was going to buy one but the manufacturer is not even going to have any till late april or march. Too late for me.
