Suncoast Stg4 :tu:

:hijack: Thanks for the tips, I'm looking at the same thing, around 450hp or less, if things go south with my transmission I'll likely be looking at similar upgrades.

and yes you are right about the forward clutches they do burn up if you do a shift kit and bump up the line pressure there is no need to replace the c3 pressure plate and replace that converter it is junk
AND THIS DODGE BOY KNOWS TRANNIES |
well ive been working on transmissions for years and never had an allison 1000 come back after a rebuild and shift kit so i dont know where you are getting your information from

i agree a complete rebuild will have no problems. but just putting a shift kit and new TC in an old tranny isnt completely fixing it.
|
how much hp would this rebuild be able to take and how hard is it to put in ?
|
that rebuild can hold 450 to 500 and if you have never done it take it to have done not an easy chore
|
im leaning towards just buying an ats or suncoast i think im putting live next spring
:jump: |
IMO stay away from the ATS go with a suncoast!
