:hijack: Thanks for the tips, I'm looking at the same thing, around 450hp or less, if things go south with my transmission I'll likely be looking at similar upgrades.

Yes it increases line pressure but its only a bandaid. The stocks clutches will still burn up. You obviously don't understand the "modified" C3 pressure plate allows for more clutches for that pack in making it stronger.

well ive been working on transmissions for years and never had an allison 1000 come back after a rebuild and shift kit so i dont know where you are getting your information from

i agree a complete rebuild will have no problems. but just putting a shift kit and new TC in an old tranny isnt completely fixing it.

hey very true but when you aint got alot of money sometimes you have to patch it

how much hp would this rebuild be able to take and how hard is it to put in ?

that rebuild can hold 450 to 500 and if you have never done it take it to have done not an easy chore

im leaning towards just buying an ats or suncoast i think im putting live next spring

IMO stay away from the ATS go with a suncoast!
